Featuring the stripped-down, soulful music of the 1950s through the early 1960s, this unforgettable show brings to life the King’s legendary SUN STUDIO sessions and early RCA HITS.
Perfect for music lovers of all ages, The Memphis Flash captures the heart of an era where GOSPEL met COUNTRY, BLUES met ROCKABILLY, and a new sound was born. Whether you're a die-hard fan or just discovering Elvis, this show offers an authentic, intimate look at the music that changed everything.
Tony London, singer, actor, director, and screenwriter, is the youngest of five children. His father was a jazz and big band singer and heir-apparent to CBS’s JULIUS LAROSA from Arthur Godfrey television and radio shows in 1954, performing in NYC BIG BANDS and JAZZ COMBOS during the 1940s, and ultimately on USO TOURS with BOB HOPE. Tony has spent his entire life on stage and in front of cameras as a well-known “crooner” of the GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK.
His hit album, “Tony London, Songs From the Heart”, was the last known fully completed album recorded by any solo artist with the legendary PAGE CAVANAUGH TRIO. The album features collaborations with industry heavyweight composers HUGH MARTIN (Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, The Trolley Song) and RAY EVANS (Silver Bells, Que Sera Sera), and was produced in Hollywood by MGM’s famed actress MARSHA HUNT. This album also marks the final work and collaborations of both Martin and Evans, an important finale to their illustrious careers.
